Project overview
The Brief
Karen and Mark wanted a sheltered space across the back of their home in Swadlincote. The brief was a Winsol Crystal combination: a grey anti-sun roof, Aluxe double glazed doors, and double glazed sandblasted fixed frames along the side.
The Solution
The structure is 7 metres wide and 3.65 metres in projection, finished in anthracite grey. Grey anti-sun glass in the roof takes the glare out of the day. The Aluxe double glazed doors slide open to the garden, and the side frames are double glazed and sandblasted, so that boundary stays private without closing the space in.
LED lighting runs through the frame, and a Winsol infrared heater is fitted overhead. The installation was carried out in September 2026.
