Glass Garden Rooms: Let the World in
A glass room is essentially an extra room added to your home outside the normal concrete foundations of your house. All our products can be built as freestanding or lean-to enclosures, giving you a great deal of choice over your garden room.
If you decide to add your glass room to the side of your existing home, you can create a seamless transition between the different parts of your house. This will make your home bigger and add extra value to the cost of your property, without the stress of having an extension built.
You can also create a garden building that is separate to the rest of your house. More and more people are working from home nowadays. If you work remotely and need a little more peace and quiet, a garden office situated further away from your house might be ideal. Or if you like to work out, you can create your own garden gym, allowing you to exercise in peace.
Our glass garden rooms give you the chance to transform your patio area into a luxury experience. You can add an extra living space where you can hold anything from small meet-ups through to big birthday parties.

What Glass Rooms Are Available to You?
At Open Space Concepts, we pride ourselves on the variety of options we have. This ensures that we can create the perfect solution for you - no matter what your needs are. We have a beautiful range of garden rooms available, so there should be something suitable for everyone.
There are four main glass room varieties that we can fit into any contemporary garden space. These are:
The Ambient and Ascend Glass Rooms feature a pitched roof, with the Vue alternatives having a flat roof instead.
Every bespoke garden room is slightly different and you can customise them, allowing your creativity to run wild. All our rooms are created in a modular fashion, which means different features and design characteristics can be retrofitted at a later date if you don't want to add them during the initial construction.
As well as our glass rooms, we also have a range of other contemporary garden products if you'd like to try something a little different.

The Beautiful Ascend Glass Room
The Ascend Glass Room (alternatively known as the Ascend Glass Roof) is a versatile creation - you can also choose to build this luxury garden room as a veranda.
These bespoke garden rooms make for lovely summer houses, perfect for hosting guests on special occasions. When you're ready to get started, just let us know which version of the Ascend Glass Room you'd like creating and we'll get to work.
You can expect the following specifications when you install the Ascend Glass Room:
- A maximum projection of six metres - however, there is no limit to the width.
- A huge range of structure colour options, as well as RAL colour matching.
- 8mm or 10mm toughened safety glass in the roof.
- The maximum span on two posts is seven metres, utilising a heat pressed reinforced front purlin for sturdiness.
- A choice between either an internal or external drainage system.
- All our materials are manufactured to the highest standards in Germany.
Optional extras include fixed glazing, glass sliding doors, LED lighting, remote controlled under blinds and remote controlled drop down screens that can be retrofitted at any point in the future.
The Atmospheric Ambient Glass Room
The Ambient Glass Room is similar in style to the Ascent Glass Room, as it has a slightly angled roof.
You can choose between single glazed and double glazed glass when creating this glass garden room. Alternatively, you can also turn your Ambient Glass Room into a veranda if you don't require a fully enclosed room.
These multi-purpose garden rooms are a delightful alternative to a loft conversion, making these playful buildings perfect for entertaining.
The following specifications are included with all our Ambient Glass Rooms:
- Four standard RAL structure colours so you can customise your room to your liking.
- Optional double glazed framed doors and roof glass for increased heat retention.
- The maximum gutter width in one span is 7.9 metres.
- A maximum projection of five metres, however there is no limit to the width of the room itself.
Optional LED spot lights, fixed glazing and glass sliding doors can also be fitted if requested. These items do not have to be added at the same time as your structure is built, as they can be retrofitted later.
The Classy Vue Pod Glass Room
The Vue Pod Glass Room is part of our Vue Collection - our premium collection of modern glass structures, all featuring a visibly flat roof with an internal glazed incline.
As well as a lean-to enclosure, the Vue Pod can also be purchased as a freestanding construction or a veranda, giving you a range of styles to choose from. This contemporary structure has an all-round support structure with either an inner mono pitch or dual pitch roof - one of the things that allows for structural diversity.
The bespoke design of the Vue Pod makes it perfect for an art studio or beauty parlour, allowing you to truly relax in style.
When you purchase a Vue Pod Glass Room, you can expect the following features:
- A maximum width of 12 metres per single structure. These structures can be combined together to create a larger room if needed.
- A maximum projection of 3.9 metres as a single structure. The projection can be increased to six metres with a dual reinforced pitch roof.
- A choice of 27 standard structure RAL colours.
- A minimum roof inclination of two degrees.
- A choice of either a hidden integrated drainage system or an external drainage system.
- High stability construction, thanks to 3D jointers and a one-piece front beam.
Optional LED spot lights, fixed glazing and glass sliding doors can also be added. Like our other glass rooms, these items can be retrofitted at a later date if preferred.
What Features Can You Expect When You Buy a Glass Room?
As glass rooms are essentially normal rooms contained outside of the conventional walls of your house, there are a lot of different features that you can include within them.

What Are the Benefits of Building a Glass Room?
There are many benefits to adding a glass room to your property.
It's much cheaper and easier than adding a conventional garden room extension, with no planning permission required in most cases (if it is required, a fee of £180 must be paid to the local authority).
However, the advantages of Open Space Concept's glass rooms don't stop there, as these garden room buildings are really special. As well as looking beautiful and adding value to your home, they also have many practical purposes, improving your day-to-day life in the long run.
Endless Space in a Fraction of the Time
Our glass rooms are perfect if you need a little more space but don't want to move house or pay for a conventional extension.
In the majority of cases, these contemporary garden buildings take as little as one to two days to complete, taking much less time to build than an extension. Typically, our products take between 12-14 weeks from ordering through to installation.
