We’ll be careful to keep any disruptions to a minimum and do not need access to your home in order to install the structure, so you don’t even have to be in when we do it!

As with all of our bespoke outdoor living structures, our pergolas are constructed in a modular fashion. This means we construct the pergola in such a way that any additional features you would like can easily be added on as and when you need them – even if it’s several years after the initial installation.

Many of our customers choose to add sides to their pergola at a later date – for example, if they find they’re needed to provide additional protection from the wind and rain.

Do pergolas need planning permission?

No – in most cases you do not need planning permission to install a pergola. However, planning permission may be required in some rare circumstances, so always check with your local authorities if you’re unsure.

Are pergolas weatherproof?

Of course, the level of rain and wind protection will vary slightly depending on whether you choose to enclose your pergola with glass walls or leave the sides open, but the pergola roof itself will keep you sheltered even on the rainiest of days – even if you choose a pergola with a retractable roof.

Are pergolas easy to maintain?

Good news – pergolas require very little maintenance to keep them in pristine condition. The frames of our pergolas are made from durable powder-coated aluminium, which means they don’t need cleaning very often. Standard cleaning materials or a jet wash can be used to remove any dirt from the pergola when necessary.
